چکیده
This study explores the influence of land-use and land cover (LULC) changes on temperature over North India (NI) North-Eastern (NEI) during 1981–2006 by subtracting reanalysis from observed (observation minus (OMR) method). The normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) data AVHRR satellite for period were analyzed to understand type LULC this their linkage with change two regions. results OMR indicated that NI resulted a warming 0.03 °C, NEI cooling 1.5 °C. said an increase dry land/snow agriculture/fallow ~0.1% total area decrease shrubs/small dense forest about 0.1–0.2%. Over NEI, areas under agricultural/fallow land, open showed 0.8–2.4% period, dry/snow ~0.7–3.6%. comparison between analysis is due expansion decline forest. On other hand, attributed non-vegetated/small vegetated lands agricultural land/forest covers in period. has overall implication towards modeling studies impact assessment present as well future climate.

Impact of land-use and land-cover changes on temperature trends over Western India
We study the regional variation of temperature trends (warming or cooling) over Western India and the contribution of land-use and land-cover (LULC) changes towards this warming or cooling based on temperature datasets of 37 years (1973–2009). The contribution of LULC to the warming or cooling is estimated based on deviation in temperature in the observation and reanalysis datasets. The observe...
متن کاملLand use and land cover spatiotemporal dynamic pattern and predicting changes using integrated CA-Markov model
Analyzing the process of land use and cover changes during long periods of time and predicting the future changes is highly important and useful for the land use managers. In this study, the land use maps in the Ardabil plain in north-west part of Iran for four periods (1989, 1998, 2009 and 2013) are extracted and analyzed through remote sensing technique, using the land-sat satellite images. T...
متن کاملImpact of urban land cover change on land surface temperature
The rapid growth in urban population is seen to create a need for the development of more urban infrastructures. In order to meet this need, natural surfaces such as vegetation are been replaced with non-vegetated surfaces such as asphalt and bricks which has the ability to absorb heat and release it later. This change in land cover is seen to increase the land surface temperature. Previous stu...
متن کاملThe Influence of Land Use/Land Cover on Climatological Values of the Diurnal Temperature Range
The diurnal temperature range (DTR) at weather observation stations that make up the U.S. Historical Climatology Network was evaluated with respect to the predominant land uselland cover associated with the stations within three radii intervals ( 100, 1000, and 10 000 m) of the stations. Those stations that were associated with predominantly rural land uselland cover (LULC) usually displayed th...
متن کاملHighlighting the Importance of the Vegetation Variable on Distributed Land surface temperature on different land use/land cover in Javanrud city range
In environmental models, Vegetations are considered as an important part in controlling environmental changes. To determine the importance of vegetation on land surface temperature (LST), preliminary preprocessing was performed on Landsat 8 image and a split window procedure was used to determine surface temperature. Temperature difference with the surrounding synoptic stations was estimated to...
